There's not much left of the surface world after the Alien invaders destroyed most of our atmosphere. Burned, barren, and crumbling the land looks much like their home, under an ultraviolet sky. Underneath the surviving natives build an army out of salvaged technology, and awaken ancient magicks buried long ago.

Kind of makes me wanna play some Duke Nukem 3D mods

Septyrikon responds:

Always happy to inspire in whatever way :) Hope you liked the song.

You have surpassed epic well into legendary.

Phantasm reflections of myself and the other diner patrons transpose with the outside world of dark wetness, red and white lights elongated off of the puddles and shining asphalt. Observing the cherry of my last cigarette burn through my memories like so many bridges before. I stamp it out, the smoke drifts from the tray, and with a smile affixed upon my face, I drift with it.

A false flashback

it's never as good as you thought it was
but this is a good piece

Awesomeed responds:

Perhaps. I've already lost interest in the piece. Focusing on something more important. I'll probably delete this piece and work on it much later

Sounds like I would've played the shit out of it just for the music.
Thought about extending this since it's not just a theme anymore?

DJStatika responds:

It was a full tune before it was the starfighter theme, which you can get here: http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/174278

I don't think I'll be able to stop listening to this. It's given me a completely different feeling for ambient, it's so layered but it all ties together.

Chemiqals responds:

I'm really happy you feel that way about it!

Runescapey
I enjoyed it
Mag's right, well done loop.

surfingthechaos responds:

Right on. I'm glad you liked it.

It sounds slightly off key which makes it kind of like gently rolling into a nightmare. Abnormal. Pretty cool.

surfingthechaos responds:

Thank you. One of the sounds I used was a cathedral bell type of thing; They resonate slightly off key. Of course, I threw in a couple of dissonant notes myself, around the 0:37 mark. I can't say that I specifically had your interpretation in mind when I created this song, but "gently rolling into a nightmare" sounds pretty awesome. That's one of the things I love about art; Once it leaves your head, it takes on a life of it's own.

Time just flying by, never leaving the couch
does your arm hurt holding up that remote?

ChandlerThompson responds:

I sit around and watch the tube but nothing's on

What now? What happens next?
